Biography

Eva Buchmann

Eva Buchmann studied jazz vocals at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, spent a year abroad at the Jazz Institute of Berlin University of Arts and obtained her master’s degree in 2008.

In order to expand her acquired skills, she attended an intensive course at the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen in 2010. That same year she won the international jazz competition for singing musicians “Voicingers” in Poland.

To pursue a life of jazz singing Eva moved to the music metropole Cologne. From there she works as a freelance jazz vocalist and teaches jazz singing at different music schools including the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen.

Sonja Huber

The vibraphone player Sonja Huber studied at the Basel College of Jazz Music from 2003 to 2008. In September 2008, she obtained her master’s degree in music and jazz education. During her studies, Sonja Huber was tutored by Urs Wiesner in Basel and by David Friedman at the Jazz Institute of Berlin University of Arts.

Sonja Huber discovered her passion for composition and arrangement early during her studies. With Lottchen and the Sonja Huber Quartet, which was awarded the “ProArgovia Artist” in 2009, she can bring in and develop this interest. Apart from her dedication for her own projects, Sonja Huber has worked as a freelance musician in classical orchestras, pop music productions and as an instrumental teacher at various schools in Switzerland.
